Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit in an acute care setting
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, identifying and responding to cardiac changes
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and unit protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in Louisiana or compact state eligibility
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Telemetry or Med/Surg Telemetry setting
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a telemetry or medical-surgical environment
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) documentation systems
- Strong critical thinking and adaptability skills in a fast-paced acute care environment
