Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 12-Hour Shifts with Rotating Weekends | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Med-Surg/Oncology unit with a 6:1 patient ratio, utilizing strong physical assessment and documentation skills
- Care for acute care patients including stroke patients, applying knowledge of core measures and prevention of HACs and HAIs
- Accurately document patient information using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members using facility-provided mobile communication technology
- Float to other Med-Surg and Telemetry units as needed per unit float policy
- Demonstrate well-established A.I.D.E.T. behaviors and critical thinking skills throughout all patient interactions
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of one (1) year of acute care experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification required
- Strong physical assessment, documentation, and time management skills
- Must reside or be willing to comply with a 50+ mile radius requirement from the facility
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Chemotherapy (chemo) administration experience is a plus
- Prior experience with Meditech documentation system preferred
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and oncology patient populations
