    Travel RN – Med/Surg Telemetry

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 12-Hour Shifts with Rotating Weekends | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a Med-Surg/Oncology unit with a 6:1 patient ratio, utilizing strong physical assessment and documentation skills
    • Care for acute care patients including stroke patients, applying knowledge of core measures and prevention of HACs and HAIs
    • Accurately document patient information using the Meditech electronic documentation system
    • Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members using facility-provided mobile communication technology
    • Float to other Med-Surg and Telemetry units as needed per unit float policy
    • Demonstrate well-established A.I.D.E.T. behaviors and critical thinking skills throughout all patient interactions
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Minimum of one (1) year of acute care experience
    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
    • NIHSS certification required
    • Strong physical assessment, documentation, and time management skills
    • Must reside or be willing to comply with a 50+ mile radius requirement from the facility
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Chemotherapy (chemo) administration experience is a plus
    • Prior experience with Meditech documentation system preferred
    • Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and oncology patient populations
