The RNFA must be proficient in assisting with chest exposure and closure. Independently performing vein harvesting for CABGs is required. Experience in DaVinci robotic cases is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates should be able to scrub and circulate complex cardiac cases. These cases may include CABGs, structural heart cases, minimally invasive procedures, and heart failure cases. Heart transplants are performed, and experience in this area is preferred. All candidates must possess AHA BLS and ACLS certifications. CNOR certification is also required. Telemetry experience is mandatory.
