Experience with post cardiac catheter patients is essential. Knowledge of neuro and stroke care is required. Candidates must be comfortable managing patients recovering from cardiac procedures. The average daily census is approximately 16 patients. The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:4 to 1:6. Float requirements will include potential assignments to different units. Experience in using the electronic health record system is necessary. Skills in telemetry and monitoring are essential for this role. The unit accepts first-time travelers, providing opportunities for growth and experience.
