This travel assignment requires a professional who is experienced in Med/Tele units, including medicine, surgical, hematology/oncology, orthopedics, cardiothoracic, and cardiac care. As a float pool RN, you will work across a variety of units, necessitating flexibility and adaptability with scheduling.

Key Responsibilities of the Medical/Surgical RN

• Provide comprehensive nursing care across multiple units as needed
• Integrate knowledge of disease processes and standard treatments in oncology, orthopedics, and cardiology
• Utilize Epic EMR system for efficient patient documentation and care coordination
• Adapt to floating among central pool Med/Tele units
• Work alternating weekends and ensure flexibility to meet patient care needs

Requirements of the Medical/Surgical RN

• Prior travel experience required
• Large, teaching facility experience
• Minimum of 2 years of unit experience
• AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (NIHSS required prior to start)
• Epic experience within the last 2 years
