Description:
Candidates may not have been employed with any facility associated with the healthcare network within the past year.
Primary location for assignments, but travelers will be required to float as necessary.
Travelers may need to float to various sites within the region.
All units are telemetry and require travelers to float to cover the needs of the division.
Float assignments may include various medical and surgical specialties.
Patient ratios are typically 4-5 patients per RN.
Travelers may be required to perform in various roles, including as a Certified Nursing Assistant if staffing is short.
They may also serve as entrance screeners if the need arises.
Telemetry monitoring techs will assist in reading strips, and RNs are required to verify the accuracy of those readings.
Common patient diagnoses include a variety of medical and surgical conditions, requiring comprehensive nursing care.
Travelers will be expected to take breaks when offered and cannot refuse them.
Flexible scheduling with every other weekend and holiday requirements is expected.
Cancellations may occur, and shifts might be canceled based on staffing needs.
Participation in a call or standby requirement may be necessary during the contract duration.
