Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking experienced and dedicated Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurses to join our fast-paced cardiac telemetry unit. This role involves providing high-quality patient care and managing a diverse patient population. Below are the details regarding this position.

Job Details

• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, from 18:45 to 07:15.
• Contract Length: 13 to 26 weeks, with options for 36 or 48-hour contracts.
• Weekend Requirements: 5-6 shifts over a 6-week scheduling period.
• Patient Care Ratio: 1:5-6.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to cardiac telemetry patients.
• Monitor patients with conditions such as congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and post-operative care for pacemaker/ICD implantations.
• Administer cardiac drips, including Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Milrinone, and Dopamine.
• Assist with sheath pulls and manage TR Bands and Femstop.
• Utilize Pyxis and EPIC for medication management and documentation.

Qualifications

• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Cardiac Telemetry, PCU, IMC, or Stepdown is required.
• Strong background in cardiac telemetry nursing is essential.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced unit and adapt to changing conditions, including floating to other units as needed.

Additional Information

• Contract staff may be assigned to Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team and are expected to report to work during catastrophic events or disasters.
• 24-hour unit orientation will be provided.
• All nursing staff must pass EKG testing prior to starting in this specialty.
• Navy scrubs will be provided.
