Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: First-time travelers accepted Charting experience required Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in telemetry nursing. The role is located on a cardiovascular unit. The primary patient population includes those with heart failure, heart attacks, strokes, and cardiac arrhythmias. Patients are monitored via cardiac telemetry. Nurses will manage patients on cardiac drips and other medical treatments. Ratios typically range from 1:5 to 1:6 but can increase to 1:7 depending on circumstances. Candidates must be comfortable with high patient ratios. Ongoing onboarding efforts are in place to support nursing staff. The position requires participation in weekend shifts every other week and working on two of three holidays. Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed but managers will attempt to accommodate requests. Nurses will provide direct patient care and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. The environment may involve overflow medical patients as needed. Charting will be done using specified electronic health record systems. COVID-19 and flu vaccinations are required, with exemptions allowed for medical or religious reasons. This role demands a commitment to professional conduct and patient care standards. Unprofessional behavior or frequent call-offs may result in contract termination.
