Key Responsibilities of the RN - Cardio Thoracic- Monitor and manage patients with conditions such as MI, CHF, A fib, COPD, and post-operative lung surgery
- Interpret EKGs and titrate medications, including Cardizem and heparin
- Collaborate with a team, including charge nurses and PCTs, for efficient patient care
- Engage in equipment management, including Cpap, Bipap, and heated high flow oxygen as needed
- Float to other general medical units as required
Requirements of the RN - Cardio Thoracic- Active IL RN license or confirmation of application process initiation
- BLS certification
- Experience in EKG interpretation and medication titration
- Proficient in using EPIC charting system
