Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly proficient Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment on the 3 East Family Medicine unit at a prominent healthcare facility in Cleveland, Ohio. This role is crucial for providing high-quality care to adult patients admitted under Medical or Medical Telemetry criteria.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical-surgical telemetry nursing, demonstrating a higher level of clinical proficiency to manage the complexities inherent in this fast-paced unit. You will be an integral part of a dedicated nursing team, ensuring comprehensive patient care and positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to adult patients meeting Medicine or Medical Telemetry admission criteria.
- Monitor patient vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and other physiological parameters, interpreting and responding to changes appropriately.
- Administer medications safely and accurately, including IV drips, and perform treatments as prescribed.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and document patient progress meticulously in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide critical care interventions as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year of recent, acute care Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience.
- Demonstrated higher level of proficiency and critical thinking skills in a complex medical-surgical environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Certification in Rehabilitation Nursing or other professional certification recognized by the Magnet Association.
- More than one (1) year of Medical-Surgical or Telemetry experience.

- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and cardiac care.
- Expertise in medication administration, including IV therapy and titratable drips.

Licensing Requirements
