TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Albemarle, North Carolina.
UNIT: Medical Telemetry
CLINICAL INTERVIEW
Experience Required: 1.5 years. Stroke experience/NIH assessments, Chest tube management, PIV starts, trach care, Cardiac rhythm interpretation, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals, foley insertion/management, etc), PCA pumps
Medication gtt management to include: Cardiac drips, Heparin, blood products, IVF.
Certs Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Stroke, COPD, Chest Pain, Altered Mental Status, GI bleed
Patient Ratios: RN: 1:5-6, acuity dependent - (surge staffing could increase ratios up to 1:7-8)
Technology/Equipment:
EMR: Epic
IV Pump: Alaris
Med dispensing: Omnicell
Monitors: Philips
Floating: Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH (peds only) -- could float to any of the facilities within region if the need arises
If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)
Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: every other
No call
Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays – must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours
Shift times: 0700-1900 and 1900-0700
Schedule cycle: every 6weeks
