Candidates with traveler experience who are able to care for telemetry patients.
Experience in reading cardiac rhythms and acting on changes.
Familiarity with administering IV cardiac drips such as Amiodarone and Cardizem.
Description:
Telemetry Registered Nurse needed for a Post-Surgical Unit.
The Telemetry RN delivers and coordinates care for acutely ill adult and geriatric patients requiring cardiac monitoring.
Physiological, psychosocial, safety, learning, and self-care needs of patients and their families must be addressed.
The RN uses knowledge of physiology/pathophysiology, nursing process, technology, and interpersonal communications in this role.
Experience with caring for telemetry patients and completing nursing interventions is required.
This includes giving IV cardiac medications, heparin, and insulin drips.
If not needed on the stationed unit, floating to other telemetry or med-surg units may occur as hospital needs arise.
