Description:
Telemetry Registered Nurse needed for a Post Surgical Unit.
The position requires candidates experienced in caring for telemetry patients.
This includes reading cardiac rhythms and acting on changes to those rhythms.
Candidates should be familiar with administering IV cardiac drips such as Amiodarone and Cardizem.
The Telemetry RN delivers and coordinates care for acutely ill adult and geriatric patients.
Patients in this role require cardiac monitoring.
The RN needs to address the physiological, psychosocial, safety, learning, and self-care needs of patients and their families.
A strong understanding of physiology and pathophysiology is essential.
The nursing process, technology, and interpersonal communications will be key in accomplishing these responsibilities.
Candidates must be willing to float to other telemetry or med-surg units as needed.
Experience as a traveler in this specialty is required.
The unit may include a mix of telemetry and med-surg patients.
