Telemetry Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3+ years of RN Telemetry experience License: CA RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, CPI Must-Have: - Previous Charge Experience: 2 years - Charting System Experience: Required - Charting System Name: Epic - Community Client Experience: Preferred - Travel Experience: Required Description: Telemetry Registered Nurse needed for day shift. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patient telemetry. Patients will typically be adults and geriatrics. The daily census is around 20 patients. The unit comprises 30 beds. The expected patient ratio is 4:1. Weekend work is required every other week and as needed. Floating to other units may occur based on the needs of the facility. The expectation is for flexibility in floating to different units or campuses. Staffing includes interdisciplinary support from various services. Prior experience with tele health practices is necessary. Key skills include advanced cardiac monitoring and managing care protocols. The nurse will perform assessments and develop care plans for patients. Strong communication skills are essential for patient interaction and teamwork. The role involves following infection control protocols and safety measures. This position is focused on delivering high-quality patient care. Additional duties may include management of IVs and administering medications. Candidates should exhibit competency in interpreting cardiac rhythms. The position requires excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Travelers should be open to floating across multiple sites if necessary.
