Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent telemetry or acute care nursing experience
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Ability to work scheduled 12-hour night shifts in an on-site hospital setting
• Strong patient assessment, communication, organization, and clinical decision-making skills
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, as required by the facility

Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients on a telemetry unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and changes in patient condition
• Perform focused and comprehensive nursing assessments and promptly communicate clinical changes
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established standards
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care
• Document assessments, interventions, responses to treatment, and patient progress accurately
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and discharge needs
• Promote patient safety, comfort, and continuity of care throughout each shift
