Telemetry Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
- At least 1 year of professional Registered Nurse experience; telemetry or medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work three 12-hour night shifts per week
- Strong cardiac monitoring, patient assessment, prioritization, and clinical communication skills
- Commitment to patient safety, evidence-based nursing practice, and compassionate patient care
Travel RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in an inpatient telemetry and medical-surgical setting
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret changes, and recognize changes in patient condition
- Complete nursing assessments, administer medications, and implement individualized plans of care
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, safety, and discharge needs
- Accurately document patient care and communicate clinical updates during nursing handoffs
- Respond promptly to changes in patient status and escalate concerns according to established clinical protocols
