Telemetry Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure eligible for practice in Virginia
• At least 1 year of recent professional nursing experience, preferably in telemetry or an inpatient medical-surgical setting
• Ability to assess and care for patients requiring cardiac monitoring
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work scheduled overnight shifts and provide safe, compassionate patient care

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients on an inpatient medicine unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition
• Complete patient assessments, administer medications, and implement individualized care plans
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately and communicate changes promptly
• Promote patient safety, education, comfort, and continuity of care throughout each shift
