Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care on a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit
  • Independently read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips - this unit does not utilize telemetry technicians; all RNs are required to monitor their own strips
  • Administer and manage medications in accordance with unit protocols
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Epic EMR
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and deliver safe, high-quality patient care
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Massachusetts
  • Minimum 2 years of recent acute Medical-Surgical with Telemetry nursing experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Current CPR and ACLS certifications required
  • Must pass a Dysrhythmia (20-question) and Medication (20-question) competency test prior to acceptance - administered remotely via proctored video session; passing score is 85%; one attempt only, no remediation or re-sit permitted
  • Local candidates are welcome to apply
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Strong dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation skills
  • Experience working in a high-acuity Medical-Surgical Telemetry environment
  • Ability to manage time-to-request-off of no more than three days
