Position Summary Seeking a self-motivated, team-oriented Registered Nurse for a 12-hour night shift contract on a busy 22-bed Telemetry unit (4West) within a Level 2 Trauma facility. Open to qualifi d first-time travelers.

  • Shift: 12-Hour Nights (18:45–07:15) | 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule | First to Float
  • Patient Ratio: 1:3–4
  • EMR & Equipment: Cerner | GE Apex Telemetry | BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC (No Vents)
  • Dress Code: Navy Blue Scrubs

Key Responsibilities

  • Care for stroke, TIA, seizure, TBI, and mixed Med-Tele adult patients.
  • Manage set-rate/protocol drips including Heparin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, and DKA protocols (no titration required).
  • Read, interpret, and document telemetry rhythm strips alongside Central Telemetry Monitoring techs.
  • Perform Bedside Shift Reports with a strong commitment to HCAHPS, patient experience, and stroke core measures.
  • Float as needed to IMCU (2West) or Med/Surg units.

Candidate Requirements

  • Certifications Required: Active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and COVID-19 Vaccination Certification.
  • Experience: 2–3 years of dedicated Telemetry experience.
  • Competencies: Must pass a dysrhythmia exam during onboarding and demonstrate strong strip interpretation skills.

Unit & Facility Highlights

  • Unit Support: Highly supportive team with a non-taking-assignment Shift Manager, dedicated Resource/Break RN, and 1–2 Unit Aides.
  • Orientation: 1 unit-specific orientation shift.
  • Scheduling: Self-scheduling by seniority; no block scheduling, on-call, or standby requirements.
