Schedule / Job TypeContract | 8-Week Assignment | Nights, 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) | Expected 72 hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit during night shift hours
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using EPIC EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Float to a sister facility as needed to support staffing requirements
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts or compact eligibility
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- EPIC EMR proficiency required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a Medical/Surgical or Telemetry setting
- Must be willing to float to a nearby affiliated hospital as needed
- Must pass a day-one competency assessment upon arrival at orientation (one attempt only); candidates must also complete Relias onboarding assessments (up to 2 attempts) in preparation for onsite testing
- No more than 3 days of requested time off during the assignment
- Local candidates are welcome
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working in a fast-paced acute care or telemetry environment
- Familiarity with floating between units or facilities within a health system
