Job Summary

Join our dedicated nursing team as a Telemetry Registered Nurse in Buffalo, New York. This role is situated on our 3 South Telemetry Unit, where you will provide specialized care to adult patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and comprehensive medical management.

You will play a critical role in patient assessment, intervention, and education, ensuring high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a supportive team dedicated to patient well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for telemetry patients.
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, responding promptly to changes in patient condition.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, other nurses, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Educate patients and their families on disease processes, medications, and self-care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records using the Epic system.
  • Ensure patient safety and adherence to all hospital policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in a Telemetry or similar acute care setting.
  • Proficiency in Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Shift Details

This is a 13-week contract assignment, starting on August 14, 2026, and concluding on December 3, 2026. The shift is for nights, working 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three days per week. The role requires participation in weekend and holiday rotations.

  • Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
