Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry

Specialty: Telemetry
Contract: 13 weeks 
Shift: Night shift, approximately 6:45 PM–7:22 AM
Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week
Patient Ratio: 1:5
Unit Size: 25 beds
Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

Requirements:

• Active RN license; compact license accepted
• BLS required
• ACLS and NIHSS listed
• Epic experience required
• Telemetry interpretation skills required
• Travel experience required
• Must live at least 80 miles from the facility
• One reference required from anywhere in the candidate’s work history
• Must pass dysrhythmia and basic math tests during onboarding

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize dysrhythmias
• Administer medications and IV fluids
• Monitor patient conditions and document care in Epic
• Float to units with the same level of care as needed

Common Medications:
IV fluids, metoprolol, hydralazine, atorvastatin, enoxaparin, heparin, Lasix, insulin, potassium chloride, and oxycodone.

Equipment:
Alaris IV pumps, bladder scanners, and glucometers.

• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
