Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry

Position Information

This role is primarily focused on providing high-quality patient care in a telemetry unit. The position involves working closely with patients requiring monitoring and care in a fast-paced medical/surgical environment.

Shift Details

Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: Required every other weekend

Unit Profile

Unit: M4 – Pediatric & Adult Medsurg
Trauma Level: Level 3
Number of Beds: 27
Patient Ratios: 1:4-5

Technical Requirements

Required Certifications:
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIH with Cerner experience
- PALS (Preferred)
Years of Experience:
- Minimum 2 years in nursing
- Minimum 3 years in telemetry

Key Responsibilities

Telemetry monitoring and patient care within a medical/surgical environment.
Management of dysrhythmias and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
Administration of cardiac drips with titration.
Post-operative care for cardiac procedures.
Patient populations include those with stroke, congestive heart failure, atrial fibrillation, and other cardiac conditions.

Technical Skills and Equipment

Experience with Sigma Spectrum IV pumps and cardiac monitoring equipment.
Familiarity with EHR: Omnicell, EPIC.

Personality Fit

The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic environment. Team collaboration is essential.
