Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry

Position Overview

This is a temporary 10-week assignment for a Registered Nurse specializing in telemetry, with night shifts available.

Unit Profile

• Unit Name: M4 – Pediatric & Adult Medsurg
• Number of Beds: 27
• Patient Ratios: 1:4-5
• Trauma Level: Level 3
• Equipment: Sigma Spectrum IV pumps, Ceiling hoyer lift, portable hoyer lift, portable cardiac monitoring, defibrillators, EKG machine
• EHR: Omnicell, Cerner

Position Information

• Department: M4 MS-Tele
• Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Guaranteed Weekly Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend required
• Float Requirements: Yes, to assist in ER except M3

Required Qualifications

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH certification with Cerner experience (PALS preferred)
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years; 3 years of telemetry nursing experience preferred

Skills and Experience

• Must Have Skills: Telemetry, post-operative catheter care, management of cardiac drips with titration, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Common Diagnoses: Stroke, CHF, A-fib, arrhythmias, cardiac caths/stents and general med-surg
