Description:
Candidates may not have been employed with any facility associated with this organization within the past year.
Travelers will be required to float as needed.
Unit includes a maximum of 16 beds for observation.
Registered Nurses manage their own ER holds, which are separated from the main emergency department.
In-house security is present.
The average number of patients per day is between 8 and 16.
Patient-to-nurse ratios are 4:1.
Common diagnoses include Med/Surg Telemetry patients.
Charge Nurse and House Supervisor are available.
Nurse Aids, Paramedics, and Patient Sitters are on staff.
The electronic medical record system used is Epic.
The unit is equipped with telemetry monitoring, and Registered Nurses are responsible for monitoring their own telemetry.
Transport services are available within the facility.
Phlebotomy is performed by nursing staff.
Shifts are from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with a weekend requirement of every other weekend.
There is a call or standby requirement.
Floating to similar units is expected.
Navy blue scrubs are the dress code.
This role involves taking care of boarding patients who are waiting for a room in the hospital.
The hospital reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
There is no holiday requirement for this position.
This position does not require a BSN.
