- Required Skills and Experience: Ability to read and interpret all cardiac rhythms, experience with telemetry patient care, and familiarity with Cerner electronic medical record system.
- Clinical and Operational Responsibilities: Monitoring patients with post pacer, hemodialysis, new onset atrial fibrillation or RVR, respiratory support including Cpap or Bipap, and managing high acuity cases such as strokes, TBI, and sepsis. Handling a variety of complex cases including oncology and surgical patients, with potential to float between units as needed.
- Certification Requirements: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Additional Information: The unit includes 31 beds with a mix of private and semi-private rooms, handled by a team composed of charge nurses, nurse aides, and hospitalists or intensivists on call. Orientation includes 1-2 shifts with a preceptor, and the unit operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4.
