Overview

Join a dynamic nursing team that provides exceptional care to patients with cardiac conditions. This position requires a proactive approach and a willingness to float between different units as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex care to patients utilizing the nursing process which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families based on the level of practice.
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocols, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Educate patients, family members, and caregivers by assessing learning needs and identifying resources.
• Delegate tasks and assign duties to other care providers, ensuring effective management of patient care.

Position Requirements

• Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant nursing specialty is preferred.
• Licenses and Certifications:
• • Current RN License in state of employment or compact.
  • BLS certification required.
  • ACLS certification required.
• Must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
• Completion of all annual competency verification requirements is necessary.

Work Details

• Work Schedule: Day shift from 7 AM to 7 PM.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend is mandatory.
• Nurse/Patient Ratio: 5:1 to 6:1, depending on staffing.
• EMR System: EPIC.
• Dress Code: Ceil blue scrubs required.
