Telemetry RN Job Details

• Schedule: 36 hours per week on day shifts, including every other weekend
• Duration: 12-week Registered Nurse contract

• Setting: On-site acute-care hospital and Level I Trauma environment
• Additional Scheduling Information: Holiday-week time-off requests are not available for this assignment

Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse Requirements

• At least 3 years of recent Telemetry or PCU Registered Nurse experience in a busy Level I Trauma facility
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification or current NIHSS competency
• Recent experience with EPIC electronic medical records
• Ability to float to comparable units as needed
• Resume, skills checklist, professional references, and license verification required for consideration

Telemetry Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to telemetry and progressive-care patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Complete comprehensive patient assessments, medication administration, care planning, and accurate clinical documentation in EPIC
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and fellow nurses to coordinate individualized patient care
• Support patients and families through education, communication, and compassionate bedside nursing care
• Float to comparable acute-care units while maintaining high standards of patient safety and clinical quality
