Travel Nursing Job Details

Telemetry RN and PCU Nurse Requirements

• At least 3 years of recent Telemetry RN experience in a busy Level I trauma facility
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Recent EPIC electronic medical record experience
• Strong cardiac monitoring, telemetry assessment, clinical judgment, and progressive care nursing skills
• Flexibility to float to comparable units and collaborate across interdisciplinary care teams

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to telemetry and progressive care patients during day shifts
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
• Perform focused and comprehensive patient assessments, medication administration, and patient education
• Use EPIC to maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate individualized patient care
• Safely care for patients across comparable units when floated according to staffing needs
• Support a high-acuity, fast-paced Level I trauma environment while maintaining excellent standards of patient safety and communication
