Job Title: RN Cardiac Tele Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiac Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years minimum License: Compact RN License or equivalent Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Experience with cardiac patients Description: RN Cardiac Tele position available. Shifts are 3x12 hours on nights. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend shifts are required as per unit needs. Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required. Staffed bed capacity is 28. Charting is completed using Epic. Patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:4 during the day and 1:5 at night. Ratios may flex based on staffing and unit needs. Additional support will be provided when necessary. Candidates must be comfortable working in environments with flexible staffing ratios. The unit deals with cardiac and telemetry patients, including those recovering from CABG and catheterization procedures. Experience with managing cardiac drips is essential. Candidates should have skills in accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, and telemetry monitoring. Required care includes managing central lines, chest tubes, and other interventions relevant to the care of cardiac patients. Familiarity with various medical protocols and care procedures is necessary. The role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams for patient care.
