Shift: Night | 3x12-Hour | 07:00 PM–07:00 AM
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of Telemetry/Med-Surg experience
- BLS required
- NJ state or Compact RN license required and must be in hand at submission
- First-time travelers accepted
- Epic experience preferred
- Experience with 1:6 patient ratios
- Must be willing to float
- Weekend coverage required every other weekend
- 50-mile radius rule; local candidates not accepted
- All RTO must be provided at submission
Description:
- Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit.
- Monitor patients using cardiac telemetry and recognize changes in cardiac rhythms.
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and respond appropriately to cardiac emergencies.
- Perform cardiac monitoring and emergency response interventions.
- Provide IV therapy, peripheral line care, and medication administration.
- Provide oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway management.
- Maintain isolation precautions and follow appropriate PPE protocols.
- Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, physical therapy, rapid response, and other interdisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and communicate changes in patient condition to the appropriate care team.
