- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
- Unit Size: 30 beds, with potential to flex to 35 beds
- Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
- Floating: May float to other Med/Surg Tele units as needed
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience required
- 1 year of travel nursing experience required
- BLS required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Dysrhythmia exam required
- ACLS preferred at hire and required within 6 months if not already obtained
- EPIC experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced telemetry and stepdown environment
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care for telemetry and stepdown patients
- Complete thorough assessments and monitor patients for changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments according to policy and best practice standards
- Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support coordinated patient care
- Care for adult and geriatric patients with medical-surgical conditions, including CVA/TIA, hypertension, diabetes, and other complex needs
- Manage patients requiring chest tubes, hemodynamic monitoring, temporary pacing, and conscious sedation support as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to quality patient outcomes
- Support patient education, family communication, and discharge planning
- Promote a safe, respectful, and healing environment for every patient
