Telemetry RN Job Details

• Position: Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: South Boston, Virginia
• Healthcare Setting: In-person hospital telemetry unit
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Assignment Duration: Approximately 52 weeks
• Start Date: August 25, 2026
• End Date: August 25, 2027
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020–$2,130
• Openings: 3
• Scheduling Requirement: At least one shift per month is required for per diem pool compliance
• Orientation: Availability required Monday through Friday

Telemetry Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 2 years of professional registered nursing experience
• At least 1 recent year of telemetry nursing experience
• Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring, rhythm recognition, and telemetry documentation
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate patient care during 12-hour night shifts
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to meet orientation and scheduling requirements

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients requiring telemetry and continuous cardiac observation
• Recognize and promptly report changes in cardiac rhythms and patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established orders and nursing standards
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support effective treatment plans
• Educate patients and families regarding care, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital standards
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and high-quality nursing care throughout each shift
