Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care on a Nephrology Telemetry unit within a 233-bed acute care hospital
  • Monitor and assess telemetry patients, responding appropriately to changes in condition
  • Perform and support Peritoneal Dialysis as a special requirement of this unit
  • Document all patient care activities accurately using EPIC electronic health records
  • Float within service line to meet facility needs as required
  • Fulfill weekend rotation requirements, which may include Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday nights depending on existing rotation
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license - Missouri license (may submit without license in hand) or valid Compact license matching permanent residence; Illinois license must be in hand at time of submittal
  • BLS (BCLS) certification required
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required
  • ACLS certification required (must be obtained by compliance document deadline)
  • Pending license accepted
  • Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible; no local candidates accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • 1-2 years of RN experience preferred; first-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Prior experience with Peritoneal Dialysis
  • Familiarity with EPIC charting system
  • Experience in a telemetry or nephrology care setting
