Join our dynamic team in a vibrant Cardiac Telemetry unit, where your skills and passion for patient care can truly shine!
**Key Details:**
- **Location:** Independence, Missouri
- **Start Date:** 12/14
- **Shift:** 7P-7A
- **Guaranteed Hours:** 48 per week preferred
**Unit Highlights:**
- **Total Beds:** 36
- **Staffing:**
- Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 9 RNs/LPNs, 3 PCTs
- Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 8 RNs/LPNs, 3 PCTs
- **Patient Ratios:** 4 to 5 patients per nurse
- **Equipment:** Pyxis, Alaris pumps, Welch Allen Vitals machines
- **EMR:** Meditech
**Who We're Looking For:**
- **Must-Have Skills:**
- ACLS certification
- Experience recovering post-cath patients (excluding sheath removal)
- Familiarity with pacemaker placements and care for stroke patients
- Proficient in administering amiodarone and Cardizem drips
- **Preferred Skills:**
- NIH Stroke Scale knowledge
- **Personality Fit:**
- Fast-paced, high-energy individual with a strong sense of teamwork
**Additional Information:**
- **Floating Areas:** Other telemetry departments, med-surg, PCU
- **Dress Code:** Grey scrubs for RNs
- **Weekend Commitment:** 3 weekend shifts within a 4-week schedule; includes Friday and Saturday for nights or Saturday and Sunday for days
