The main patient population includes heart failure, heart attack, stroke, and cardiac arrhythmias. Patients are monitored remotely and on the unit, often receiving cardiac drips. There is a potential for overflow medical patients as needed. Travelers should expect a fast-paced environment. Call requirements are not applicable, and weekend coverage is needed every other weekend. Holidays require working 2 out of 3 major holidays. Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed, but management will try to accommodate requests. Travelers should be comfortable floating based on staffing needs. First-time travelers are welcome. Experience with the Cerner charting system is preferred. Candidates must be willing to adhere to professional conduct standards. Unprofessional behavior may result in contract termination.
