**Exciting Opportunity for a Travel RN - Medical/Surgical**
**Job Description**
- **Start Date:** 12/14
- **Guaranteed Hours:** 48 hours preferred
- **Location:** Lee's Summit, Missouri
- **Unit Name:** Medical/Surgical
- **Building:** Main Campus
- **Number of Beds:** 36
- **Patient Ratios:** 1:6 for both day and night shifts
- **Support Staff:** Technicians for every 10-12 patients
**Unit Equipment:**
- Dynamap (WelchAllyn)
- Telemetry with screen at the nurses' station
- Alaris IV pumps
**Documentation System:** Meditech
**Scheduling Requirements:**
- Every other weekend
**Floating Policy:**
- First to float to ortho or telemetry unit (dependent on competencies)
**Patient Experience Requirements:**
- Bedside shift report
- Hourly safety rounds with patients
- AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank You)
- Personal connection with patients
**Required Certifications:**
- ACLS
- BLS
- Basic Dysrhythmia
- NIH Stroke Scale certification
**Dress Code:**
- Charcoal Gray top and bottom scrubs
