- Experience Required: 2 Years
- Weekly Pay:$2,250 to $2,450
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring telemetry and continuous cardiac monitoring
- Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygen saturation, and neurological status
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and cardiac rhythm
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments
- Monitor telemetry data and communicate significant rhythm changes or abnormalities to physicians and the healthcare team
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, case managers, and other multidisciplinary team members
- Assist with admissions, transfers, procedures, and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Follow infection prevention, patient safety, medication administration, and hospital protocols
- Respond appropriately to rapid response and emergency situations
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care throughout the patient's hospital stay
Qualifications
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry or acute-care nursing experience
- Current BLS Certification required
- Current ACLS Certification required
- Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms, telemetry monitoring, medication administration, and patient assessment
- Experience caring for patients with cardiac, medical, and post-surgical conditions
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Strong commitment to patient safety and evidence-based nursing care
