It has received accolades for patient safety and healthcare excellence. The facility serves as a referral center for trauma and comprehensive stroke care. Additionally, it offers specialized pediatrics and is equipped for advanced surgical procedures. The unit consists of 18 beds with a majority of staffing on both day and night shifts. On night shifts, the staffing includes a charge RN, 2-3 RNs, an LPN, and 1-2 PCTs. Patient ratios are maintained at 6:1. The charge nurse aims to assist with staffing where possible. Equipment used includes IV pumps and wound vacs. The electronic medical record system in use is Cerner Powerchart. Candidates should have peripheral IV start experience and perform standard medical/surgical skills. A team player with a positive attitude is preferred. The dress code consists of navy or white scrubs. Travelers may float to other medical/surgical units as needed. Every other weekend shifts are required.
