Job Summary
Telemetry Nurse, Camarillo, CA This is a float pool position based at the organizations facility with the flexibility to work at satellite locations. The role involves providing care to a high acuity patient population, including post-surgical, orthopedic, and cardiac patients, with responsibilities spanning telemetry, medical-surgical, and intermediate care units.

Job Details

• Requirements: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in telemetry or related units; active nursing license to submit.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts from either 7:00 am to 7:30 pm or 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Manage a high-acuity patient population, including patients on drips such as amiodarone, cardizem, and heparin; read and interpret cardiac strips; assist with ventilator management (BIPAP/CPAP), and participate in patient care across multiple units including telemetry, medical-surgical, and step-down units.
• Float Requirements: Float to additional units within the organization, including telemetry, medical-surgical, step-down units, and potentially to the emergency room for patient care.
• Orientation: One shift at the primary unit, followed by orientation to other units and facilities.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with chest tubes, high-acuity care, and travel nursing is highly valued.
• Additional Details: Must have a positive attitude, compassion, and experience with medication drips. Shift coverage may include weekends and holidays.
