Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a 25-bed telemetry unit with a 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation, including dysrhythmia recognition
• Administer and manage common medications including IVF, metoprolol, hydralazine, heparin, insulin, and related cardiac and anticoagulation therapies
• Operate common unit equipment including Alaris IV pumps, bladder scanners, and glucometers
• Float to units of the same level of care as needed
• Complete required dysrhythmia and basic math competency assessments during onboarding prior to start

Required Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license or valid Compact RN license
• BLS certification required
• Demonstrated telemetry interpretation skills
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
• Must live at least 80 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Experience in an ED Holding Unit setting
