RNs must be capable of managing IV drips including heparin, nitroglycerin, amiodarone, Cardizem, and insulin. The typical patient ratio is 5 patients per nurse during nights and weekends. Floating to other units based on skill set and unit census may be required. The candidates should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. This role includes performing critical nursing tasks such as managing cardiac drips, interpreting dysrhythmias, and administering blood products. Compliance with isolation precautions and maintaining proper hygiene practices are essential. Candidates must demonstrate competency in advanced cardiac care and be familiar with various respiratory support methods. Additional competencies required include telemetry monitoring and wound care management. Candidates should have experience in post-myocardial infarction care and pre/post-cardiac catheterization procedures.
