Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) | 12-Hour Shifts | Expected 36 hours/week | Every Other Weekend
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Telemetry setting as part of a Staffing Office Float Pool
- Float to Intermediate/Intensive Care Unit (IU) and General Medical units within the same medical center as needed
- Monitor and assess patients on telemetry, identifying and responding to changes in cardiac status
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using EPIC electronic health records
- Perform neurological assessments utilizing NIHSS protocols as applicable
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
Required Qualifications- Active RN license (Compact license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of Telemetry nursing experience
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Must be willing and able to float to IU and General Medical units within the facility
- Must reside at least 80 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior travel nursing experience (at least 1 previous travel assignment in a General setting)
- Proficiency with NIHSS neurological assessment
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records
