• Setting: Adult Cardiac Telemetry Unit
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week; every other weekend required
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Patient Population: Adult telemetry patients with primary or secondary cardiac diagnoses, stroke/TIA, and stable cardiac cath patients
• Unit Highlights: Remote telemetry monitoring, strong interdisciplinary support, and a fast-paced team environment

Job Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience preferred
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• Experience with telemetry nursing, dysrhythmia interpretation, and cardiac drips
• Comfortable managing adult patients with cardiac and stroke-related diagnoses
• Experience with remote telemetry monitoring and electronic charting systems
• Willingness to float within scope, work required holidays, and meet scheduling expectations
• Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult telemetry patients with cardiac and neurovascular needs
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer and manage cardiac-related medications and drips per unit protocol
• Support patients with stroke/TIA, post-MI, and stable cardiac cath diagnoses
• Perform safe IV care, oxygen therapy, and respiratory support interventions as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, rapid response teams, and interdisciplinary partners to deliver excellent patient outcomes
• Float within specialty scope when needed and maintain flexibility in a travel assignment environment
