Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation to identify and prioritize patient needs
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care through initial and ongoing assessments informed by patient problems, physician medical diagnosis, and functional health framework
  • Perform therapeutic nursing interventions including inpatient unit nursing skills such as Foley catheter insertion and IV management
  • Document nursing care based on standards of practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities
  • Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support adoption of innovations in care delivery
  • Provide patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice models
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry experience required
  • ASN or graduation from an accredited school of nursing required
  • Active NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license required
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • NIHSS certification required
  • Telemetry Certification or successful completion of a Telemetry Competency Exam required
  • CEU Contact Stroke (4 Hours) required
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • BSN preferred
  • Approximately 2 years of preferred Telemetry experience
