- Position: Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Stepdown / Med-Surg Telemetry
- Location: Lima, Ohio 45801
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week; every other weekend and every other holiday
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Setting: 28-bed medical-surgical telemetry and renal unit
- Patient Ratios: Typically 1:4-5, subject to staffing needs
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice or compact state eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Ability to complete a dysrhythmia exam
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Comfort working in a fast-paced acute care, stepdown, or telemetry environment
- Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric telemetry patients
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry strips throughout the shift
- Administer medications and IV therapies in accordance with policy and clinical practice standards
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care and support positive patient outcomes
- Manage patients receiving drips and advanced respiratory support as needed
- Educate patients and families and serve as a patient advocate
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
