Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This includes planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs. The RN identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Responsibilities also include developing, implementing, and coordinating individualized plans of care for patients through initial and ongoing assessments. The RN performs therapeutic nursing interventions, manages patient care, and documents care based on standards of practice and patient acuity. Advocacy for evidence-based practice care standards and support for innovations in care delivery are integral to this role. Patient-centric care is provided in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry experience
• ASN degree
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
Preferred Qualifications:
• BSN degree
• Telemetry Certification or Telemetry Competency Exam
Required Certifications & Licensure:
• BLS - AHA
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
• NIHSS
• Tele Certification
• CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours
