Description:
This is a primary cardiac telemetry unit with 54 beds.
The patient population includes those with heart failure, heart attacks (STEMI and NSTEMI), strokes needing cardiac monitoring, cardiac arrhythmias, and chest pain.
Patients are monitored either in a remote telemetry room or closely on the unit.
The unit manages cardiac drips and overflow medical patients as necessary.
Candidates must be able to manage a variety of cardiac conditions.
Essential skills include blood product administration, continuous bladder irrigation, and central line care.
Candidates are required to interpret dysrhythmias and manage telemetry monitoring.
Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for collaboration with interdisciplinary support services.
Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to maintaining professional conduct standards throughout the assignment.
