Job Summary:
Telemetry Technician, Saint Louis, Missouri This position involves providing telemetry monitoring for adult hospital patients in an acute care facility. The role requires managing cardiac rhythms, reading EKGs, and adjusting cardiac medications and drips, with no titration. The technician will support a team in continuously monitoring cardiac patients and ensuring patient safety during assigned shifts.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and CPI. No minimum years of experience required.
- Patient Ratios: 5-6 patients per nurse during nights.
- Special Requirements: Telemetry monitoring, reading rhythms, managing cardiac medications and drips (no titration), external pacemaker monitoring, chest tube management, and cardiac rhythm interpretation.
- Certifications: BLS, NIHSS, CPI (preferred).
- Additional Information: This role involves continuous telemetry monitoring of adult patients with cardiac conditions, including post-cardiac catheterization, post-MI care, and management of cardiac drips without titration. The setting is an acute care hospital with 233 beds, located in Saint Louis, MO. The position excludes local candidates within a 75-mile radius.
- Start Date: 09/08/2026
- License: Submission without license is acceptable if MO or compact license is available; IL license required at the time of submittal.
- RTO Restrictions: Max of 7 days of RTO; no RTO allowed during the first week of the assignment.
- Floating: All travelers will float within the service line.
- Additional Notes: The selected candidate must have current certifications, be able to read EKG rhythms, and manage cardiac medications and drips without titration.
