Staffing includes 2 RNs and 1 PCT. Type of equipment includes telemetry. Documentation system used is Meditech. Scheduling requires every other weekend and 12-hour shifts. Floating policy applies to other similar units if needed, or to the emergency department for telemetry holds. Patient experience includes bedside shift reports and hourly safety rounding. Advanced skills include performing general Med/Surg telemetry procedures and the ability to draw labs. Dress code requires navy blue uniforms. This is a brand-new unit designed to provide 24/7 telemetry monitoring for patients.
